Developers point any OpenAI-compatible SDK or coding agent at api.lowrouter.ai/v1 and pick a provider, model and region (or let auto mode choose by lowest carbon, then cost). Requests are proxied without prompt retention, and each response carries lowrouter_metadata with provider, region, gCO2eq and grid intensity. Users get one prepaid EUR balance, one EU VAT invoice, and CSV usage exports for Scope 3 reporting. Juggling multiple LLM provider accounts and bills, lack of jurisdiction control, and no traceable data on what AI requests actually emit.
